Solar System Images
No real order to these images, just a few of my Solar System Images that I find interesting.

The total solar eclipse of the 8 April 2024. Imaged from Dallas USA. The eclipse from first to last contact was from 12:23 to 15:02 CDT and totality lasted 3 mins 52 secs. Absolutley spectaular!
Below is a montage from first contact to last followed by three shots of totality.
The image below shows the Corona.
The image below is at a fast shutter speed to show the solar flares.
The image below shows the diamond ring at the end of totality.
Transit of Mercury on 11th November 2019. Three images taken through heavy cloud (the usual U.K. weather!).
Transit of Mercury on 9th May 2016. The weather was better than the 2019 transit above.
Transit of Venus on 8th June 2004. Three images with reasonable weather througout the transit. You can see the size difference of Venus compared to Mercury above.

A slightly spooky Moon.
Venus and the Moon. For some reason I just find this shot nice and calming.
