Solar Cycle 25 Images
We are now into Solar cycle 25; the 25th cycle since 1750 when modern Sun spot records began of the 11 year cycle. Cycle 25 was originally predicted to start late 2019, peak around mid-2025 and last until 2030, but seems to have started in April/May 2020 (source NOAA).
My images of this cycle start in May 2020 which therefore probably marks the start of cycle 25. The start of the cycle was very quiet (as expected).

10th May 2024. A huge Sun spot group (3664) fired off a bunch of CME's that resulted in a very rare G5 magnetic storm that in turn resulted in the major Aurora of the 10th May. My Ha (Hydrogen Alpha) image below shows the sun spot group and one of my aurora images. Also included is my all sky camera time lapse video of the aurora.

8th to 18th July 2022. In a rare event in the UK we had a week of constant sun during a time of pretty good solar activity, so I produced this video showing visual and Ha light for each day.
